I know you are busy, so am I. The holidays are in full tilt and the year is quickly coming to a close. At this time of year many people, me included, get a little nearsighted. Thank goodness for the few who have the vision to see beyond themselves.
Yesterday I saw an article about a young man (Jack) who gave up his first class seat on a Virgin Atlantic flight to an 88-year-old woman (Violet) traveling to NY to see her daughter. Jack’s new seat was in the row of seats directly next to the toilets in economy. Apparently, he never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight (details from the flight attendant who witnessed this act of kindness.
Maybe you don’t have a first-class seat to give up, I know I don’t. But surely we can all infuse this crazy world with our own heartfelt acts of kindness. The holidays can be the hardest time of year for many, let’s not make it harder. I’m challenging all of us to one intentional act of kindness. One, for goodness sake, we can all do that, right? Game on!
With Gratitude,
Beth
