Plan or Hope?

I always have mixed emotions about summer coming to an end. I feel like part of the playful child in me has to go back to school. It’s as if the opportunity to be “carefree” has come to an end for now, and the very grown-up “serious” just took it’s place. And although I don’t love serious over carefree, I will not miss any part of the hot and humid dog days of summer. Bring on cool mornings and falling leaves!

So, like it or not, it’s time to get back to work! What is your plan for the fall? What do you want to accomplish in the last quarter of 2021? Did you flesh out your plan? Did you write it down? Did you set deadlines? Did you ask for help and align yourself with an accountability partner so you’re certain to be successful? Or are you going to wing it? Do you have it all in your head and you’re going to take the “hope” path.

We can choose either path: plan or hope. They are both available to us. And although it’s arguable that we could be successful on either path, science has proven that people who write down their plan, set deadlines, and are held accountable, are significantly more successful than those that don’t. Today, you get to choose. And if you say, “I don’t have the time to write it down, etc.,” I will add, “Perhaps, in the long run, you don’t have the time not to.”

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
