“Funny how your quality of life improves dramatically when you surround yourself with good, intelligent, kind-hearted, positive, loving people.” Unknown
Yesterday morning, I had the distinct privilege of speaking with the Rotary Club of Montgomery/ Rocky Hill. It’s a private meeting so it shall remain so, but let me simply say it was the best 2 hours of my day, maybe even my week! The volunteers who commit to the Rotary are amazing, what they do as an organization is amazing, and the joy that filled that room was amazing! I can’t say enough good things—if there is a Rotary near you, consider volunteering, and definitley consider donating—they do great work.
“Be picky about who you keep around you. Personalities, words and traits do naturally rub off.” ~ Sonya Teclai
Being in that meeting reminded me that truly good people really do still exist. They are not checking the box, these people meet every week at 7:15 am. Take a look around you, who are you surrounded yourself with weekly? Are they raising you up in any way? Are you raising them up? It does cuts both ways.
It’s always good to do a little inventory. Who am I hanging around? What groups am I connected with? Am I raising my game for myself and others? Are those I surround myself with doing the same for me? If the answer is, “Yes,” then carry on. If the answer is, “No,” then maybe it’s time to make some changes.
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
