Last night I went to a hot yoga class in town with two of my daughters. I was a little nervous (OK, a lot nervous) about attending because they had said it was pretty intense. But like everything else with my girls, when they invite me, I say, “Yes!”
On the walk to the class, I realized I wasn’t anxious anymore. My mindset had shifted—once I realized I was going, there wasn’t really much I could do to change the fact that I was attending this class. I decided to simply do what I could do in the class, that’s all. It was a form of surrender, I guess. It felt good.
As the class began, I realized quite quickly that I was out of my league! Holy smokes! Other than downward facing dog, I don’t think I did anything like everyone else! I was beyond terrible! But it’s OK, I faced a fear and survived. And I share this story simply to encourage you to get outside of your comfort zone as well—but maybe not with advanced hot yoga! LOL. Will you say yes today to something that makes you feel uncomfortable? The only way we expand our comfort zones is by choosing to do something that makes us feel uncomfortable. It’s a muscle we need to exercise. I know you can do this! Pick one thing, please!
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!

P.S. Please share what you have decided to do! Let’s empower everyone to be brave!
