“We all have limits. Almost no one reaches theirs. You definitely haven’t.” ~ Unknown
Unknown nailed it again! If I asked you what are your limits, would you be able to define them for me? You might even ask me what “limits” I was talking about, and that would be a great question, but I’d probably respond with, “Anything and everything,” because I wouldn’t want to limit your answer.
Let’s take a look at our work, whatever that may be, even if it’s volunteering or things we are doing around the house. Do you believe that you have reached your limit as far as potential, possibility, and/or skillset? Could you be 1% better, or maybe 10% better? I definitely have no problem believing I can always be 1% better at anything, and I really don’t have any resistance to the possibility that I could be 10% better. What about you?
Nothing about this quote is necessarily asking us to do more. I believe it’s asking us to remove the blindfold so that we can see our potential has no bounds. There will almost always be 1% more inside of us that we can tap into if we choose to do so. Again, this is about being better, not doing more. There’s a difference. We have not reached our limit for excellence—good to know, right?
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
