“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
I haven’t read The Alchemist in a long time now, but I believe 2024 might be the right time to pick up this gem again. Have you ever read it? If you haven’t, it’s a must-read in your lifetime. And arguably, as interesting, is the story of the author, Paulo Coehlo, and the journey that brought him to write such a book.
You may be reading this quote and thinking, “I have wanted a lot of things in my lifetime and the universe definitely did NOT conspire to help me achieve it.” What is not mentioned in this quote, but is certainly covered in the book, is that we can’t just want it as a thought, we have to want it from our heart, our whole heart—and that’s the difference. Another great quote that is often referenced when The Alchemist is mentioned is, “Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.”
As we head into this blessed new year, keep The Alchemist close by. Read it or reread it. Think about what you want to happen for you this year—anything is possible, but you have to want it with your whole heart if you want the universe to conspire with you! Coehlo offered another helpful hint for your heart which is this, “Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.” 100%.
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
