Motivational Monday!

It’s tax day AND a Monday—a double whammy! If you owe, I’m really sorry to hear that. If you got a refund, WOOHOO! How exciting is that? What are your plans? And if you’re neither, CONGRATULATIONS! That’s truly the best situations to be in, but few see it that way.

Today’s talk is more about perspective and how we perceive things. Most people are happy with a refund, but that means we gave the government an interest-free loan. Most people are mad or sad when they find out they owe, BUT that means we were earning interest on money that was supposed to be with the government. In both situations, regardless of whether we are happy or mad or sad, WE EARNED MONEY in 2023!!! How awesome is that? It’s fabulous is what it is!

I know some of you really hate this day and I get it, trust me, I do. But wallowing in the, “I owe” camp isn’t going to make you owe any less, is it? If it makes you fell better, I owe, but I’m refusing to wallow in it. We can have a small pity party if you want, but then it’s time to move on. Commiserating with others isn’t really helping either. We can make some adjustments for next year, but I want you to see owing from another perspective and that is grateful and blessed. How fortunate are we to have made so much money that we actually owe? We are fortunate and we are blessed so let’s try grateful on for size—it might just fit.

Let’s GO!! WE GOT THIS!
