“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle and the other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein talking about miracles—now that’s going against the grain for a scientist, and especially for a theoretical physicist. What do you think he meant by this? How could everything be a miracle? Counterpoint, how could nothing be a miracle? If, arguably, one of the smartest men in the world decided to utter these words, I doubt it was an off-handed or arbitrary remark.
I believe the key to his remark is in the beginning: “There are only two ways to live your life.” If you believe
“everything is a miracle,” you must have optimism and hope and see the world through the lens of eternal possibility. What a joyful way to live life! As a scientist, I can now see why he would want to live life as if everything is a miracle. The alternative isn’t nearly as joyful.
It’s Friday—that, alone, is a miracle!! Look around you and notice all the tiny miracles sprinkled throughout your day. They’re everywhere once you begin to look for them. Maybe that’s what Einstein wanted us to learn—if we start to look for the miracles, we will actually start to see how many there really are in our lives
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
