Motivational Monday!

Last night the Philadelphia Eagles beat the The Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl and become the 2025 World Champions. There were a few big takeaways for me after the game was over and none of them really had anything to do with the game that day. In case you’re not an Eagles fan, these two teams clashed in the Super Bowl just two years ago and it was the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes who were victorious.

Hurts said that the emotions he experienced after the loss (in 2023) fueled his desire to win. He said, “Going through those emotions, and processing those emotions and processing those things lit a great flame in me. It enhanced my desire to win significantly.” This is SUCH a simple statement by Hurts, but it’s also filled with powerful information that can help us “win” at whatever it is we want to win at. He said specifically that, “it lit a great flame inside of me,” and “enhanced my desire to win.”

Do you know what happens for most of us when we experience a loss? Let me describe OUR losses, so we don’t think that losing the Super Bowl somehow does not relate to us. Our losses are not getting promoted or unfair promotion practices, not getting the job or maybe even the interview, not hitting our sales number, not meeting salary expectation, stuck in a dead-end job, etc… Can you relate to these losses? Of course you can. So now let’s ask ourselves this: Is my loss FUELING me to win? Or is my loss deflating me, causing me to give up or give in the my circumstances?

Jalen Hurts just won the Super Bowl—and his story is not just about football. It’s about heart. It’s about perseverance. It’s about unshakable belief. And it’s about not quitting! The person who wins is the person who doesn’t quit. Can I get you back in the game? Can I light a “great flame” inside of you? I certainly hope so.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
