On Thursday, I had the honor of speaking with the Benjamin F. Edwards & Co advisors on their weekly webinar. Our topic was time management. I love talking about that topic because I have yet to meet anyone who couldn’t use at least a little help in that area, myself included!

Did you know that in the last 20 years our working time has increased by 15% and our leisure time has decreased by 33%? This statistic alone should have us paying more attention to our time! Time is a finite resource. Every wasted hour is irreplaceable. So ask yourself, “do I treat time as the precious resource that it is?”

Today, why not spend a few minutes reflecting on where you spend your time. Who in your life could use more of your time? Who is not going to be around forever? Is it an aging parent or a child heading off to college? Time is so precious and the management of it is in our hands at all times. No tombstone ever read, “I wish I had spent more time at work.”
