Motivational Monday!

On Thanksgiving, my family and I ran the 5K Trinity Turkey Trot Princeton. We have all participated in this race since its inception 12 years ago. This race was the vision of our then brand new pastor as a fun way to raise money for our local outreach programs. This year some 2,000 wonderful runners took to the street, along with our pastor, and this year we were joined by Governor Phil Murphy.

So here is the truth – I am not a runner. For 12 years I have run some of this race and walked a whole lot more. But this year I wanted to run the entire race, so I put in the work. I was inspired by all of my kids who were running, I read Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins, and I joined Orangetheory Fitness Princeton. Race day came and I said to myself, “No matter what, don’t stop running! It doesn’t matter how slow you go, just don’t stop!” And that is what I did for 3.1 miles until I finished the race.

I have posted daily since 2014 and I have never asked you to do something that I wasn’t willing to do or wasn’t struggling with myself. What do you want in your life? Put your finger on it right now. Is it health, career, relationship? Is is happiness, fulfillment, or balance? The story I shared is about our infinite capacity once we put our mind to something. Look, I didn’t win the race, I just completed what I set out to do. My belief in me changed. I want your belief in you to change. Pick something and get determined about it. You can do this! I have zero doubt in your ability nor in your capacity to achieve it. Let’s go!

With Gratitude,
Beth
P.S. Email me with your choice, I’d love to support you. Write the words infinite capacity, determination, and tenacity. When have you been that way before?
