I am not a huge fan of New Year’s Eve. I never have been. I believe there is too much pressure wrapped around this night. The headlines are all about what transpired over the past year which invariably depresses me. There is this huge illusion of a “clean slate” as January 1 begins yet another 365-day cycle. And then there is the pressure of the midnight kiss! I find it to be a very uncomfortable moment if everyone doesn’t have someone to kiss—definitely not how I want to begin my “clean slate”!
So today I want to wrap up the decade by simply saying, “Thank you.” Thank you from the very bottom of my heart, not only for all your support in 2019, but for the last 6 years. You have challenged me to be my best. You called me out when you disagreed. You have affirmed my work with likes, hearts, comments, and shares. And I would have stopped had it not been for all of this support, so THANK YOU!
As we roll into 2020, whether we are ready or not, I wish you the very best. I write each morning with you in mind. I want you and me to live our best life—whatever that may be. I believe the cornerstone for our best life is happiness. In 2020 make it a priority to find it every day. There is joy and happiness in every day, but we need to put our finger on it and say, “YES! There it is! That made me happy today!” If we can find that, I believe we will be off to a great start!
Happy New Year!!
Beth
