The Super Bowl and YOU!

What do the Washington RedskinsCarolina PanthersDallas CowboysNew York GiantsCleveland BrownsMinnesota VikingsJacksonville JaguarsNew York JetsDetroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons all have in common? On or about that doomful day of “Black Monday,” the Monday directly following the last game of the NFL season, they all fired their head coaches.

There could be a million reasons why a team did poorly last season like unfortunate injuries or lack of talent, but the go-to resolution for a lackluster season is always to fire the head coach. In doing so, the team gets a fresh start, new blood, a different vision coming from brand new leadership in hopes that this change will be significant enough to create a winning season next year.

Now it’s time to ask ourselves how successful was our 2019 season? Was it a winning season? If you and I were an NFL team, would our coaches have been fired? And by coaches I mean you and me. If our answer is, “Maybe,” then it’s time to reassess. The new year brings a fresh start but it doesn’t necessarily bring a new way of doing things. The old way presumably didn’t work if it was a lackluster season. We are shooting for the Super Bowl, right? It’s time to make some changes!

With Gratitude,
Beth
