It’s February 1st. I cannot believe January is already behind us—over, done, complete. That went by fast, right? There were things I did not complete that I wanted to complete when this new year began. I don’t make resolutions, but I do make goals. I did get some things accomplished, just not everything. What about you?
If you made resolutions or goals, February 1st is a great time to revisit them, especially if you have fallen off. It’s a time when your mind will agree to an organic reset. Your mind sees the new month as a clean slate, so let’s take advantage of this little nuance because our only other option is to accept defeat—and that’s unacceptable.
Statistically, it has been proven, that 80% of New Year’s Resolutions will fail by January 19th, but that sounds like it’s a “resolutions problem.” Resolutions fail because people quit, so it’s not a resolutions problem, it’s a people problem! If people don’t quit, resolutions don’t fail. So how mentally strong are you? Will you reset the goal and continue on or will you quit? The choice is yours, but please stop blaming the resolution—it wasn’t the vehicle that had the problem, it was operator error all along.
With Gratitude,
Beth
