I am currently teaching a 9-week class on Development for a large corporation. I’ve taught these topics before to a variety of people from recent graduates to high level executives and I always find one thing completely fascinating in every class.

Classes on development require the participants to complete the homework. I can’t tell you what you want, that answer has to come from you and only you. What I marvel at, is that invariably there is always someone who says, “I didn’t get to it yet,” or “I didn’t have the time.” I completely understand that because who has extra time right now? No one! But development is about you! It’s about your growth, your advancement, your success! So maybe it’s worth finding the time?

Whether you’re looking to advance your career or develop yourself in some way, and, you too, can’t find the time, I’ll happily find it for you! It’s in front of your T.V., it’s scrolling through social media, and it’s going down the rabbit hole of online shopping/reading. There is exactly where all your time went. Development doesn’t require a never-ending time commitment, but it does require some. If you want to know why you’re not advancing to where you want to be, ask Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, or Google—they will definitely know!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!

Beth

P.S. No one cares more about your career than you. We must put ourselves first.
