It’s Monday. Do you have big plans for the week? Maybe you, like me, have filled a daytimer with what you’re going to get accomplished this week. Or maybe you, like me, have some of those thoughts in your head. By Friday, will it all get done? Or are you like me, and somewhere along the way we will likely get distracted or our plans will get derailed? I don’t want that to happen but, often, it does.
Sometimes we have to address the elephant in the room, and what better day to do that than Monday? I don’t want you or I to get distracted from our plans for success. And by Friday, I don’t want us blaming other things for the cause of this lack of success when we could have done better right out of the gate on Monday. WE are the cause of our own distraction. Stop saying, “Life got in the way.” That 5-word phrase lets us off the hook. Take ownership and say, “It was me! I allowed myself to get in the way,” because that’s the truth.
It’s Monday. Make your plan and then execute your plan—that’s it! Put your phone down. Heck, put it in another room. Stop looking at social media. Stop looking at your emails and your texts every 5 seconds! Turn off your notifications! Gasp!! You know you can turn them back on later, right? Stop procrastinating. And stop making excuses. Your success is in your hands. Take control—complete control—and stop allowing yourself to get in the way!
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
