Friday’s Quote

“I am worthy of what I desire.” ~ Gabby Bernstein

Seven simple words. One simple sentence. This should be the easiest sentence to verbalize, yet I am going to guess somewhere along the way in speaking this simple sentence, one of those words struggled to flow out of your mouth. Did one of those words get stuck like a broken zipper that needs to be manually forced to get through a pesky spot?

My guess is “worthy” was the word that was hard for you to declare about yourself. I get it, I believe most people choke a little bit on that word—worthy. By definition, worth means value, but to be worthy has nothing to do with our abilities or our accomplishments. You are worthy right now just by being you. Worthy doesn’t require anything. We are all worthy.

Today I am going to encourage each of us to write down Bernstein’s quote—I AM WORTHY OF WHAT I DESIRE. Place this inspirational quote on your desk. Make it a summer challenge to read it every day until you can say “worthy” just as simply as you say any other word that describes you like shy, tall, or funny. Worthy is a word that should not get stuck coming out of our mouth, so we will work on it, O.K.? Good!

Let’s GO! We got this!
