“Know who you are. Know what you want. Know what you deserve. And don’t settle for less.” Tony Gaskins
Worth. It’s something people struggle with all the time. I spent the last two weeks in Nantucket and Southern California. Both areas are incredibly wealthy. In both areas I went into stores and out to dinner in nice restaurants and the concept of worth came up emotionally. In Nantucket, my daughter and I discussed that, “Do I belong,” feeling we sometimes have when we feel like maybe we are out of our league.

And it all comes down to how we value ourselves. Why am I not as worthy as anyone else to have dinner in a restaurant. No one is better than me (and you) because they are richer. And the feeling of “less than,” rarely, if ever, comes from them—no, the truth is that feeling comes from inside us! We do it to ourselves—unnecessarily. We say to ourselves, “I am not worthy,” and we are so very wrong. It’s dinner for goodness sake! Everyone is worthy of dinner!
We finished our trip having lunch in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive—it sounds way better than it was, trust me. My daughter and I discussed the imposter syndrome and worth. Think about the quotes I shared today. Don’t minimize yourself in any way. Know what you want and what you deserve. Deserve is a big, emotionally charged word for most. What do you deserve? And as harsh as this quote can feel, I want you to remember, you deserve exactly what you settle for. So don’t settle for less.
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
