Sometimes you just have to laugh! You can’t make some of this stuff up that happens to us, but we also have to be able to laugh even when it’s costing us time and money!
You’ve heard me talk about The Fabulous Jimmy—our auto mechanic. He was fixing one of our cars about a month ago, and when we drove in to pick up the car, we found a nail in our tire! So we picked up the “good car” and left the one with the nail in the tire. Yesterday, we went to pick up another fixed car, only to find another nail in our tire, so we did the swap yet again! My daughter was furious, but I just started laughing! Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up. Time and money out the window again. Argh.
My friend, who is also moving, and I do a lot of laughing right now because it’s so bad that it’s funny. We have fun laugh-fests about septic, mold, termites, carpenter bees, dump-runs, permits, packing, etc. because what else can you do? I don’t know what is going on in your life, but I hope you’re laughing. Laughter is the best medicine. I know it’s not Friday, but here are three quotes to remind us all to laugh:
“You don’t stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.” ~Michael Pritchard
“If you can’t laugh, you won’t make it.” ~Jennifer Love Hewitt
“Nothing feels as good to me as laughing incredibly hard.” ~Steve Carell
Here’s to laughing so hard we can’t breathe—in a good way!
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
