Tuesday, I was moving some things into our new apartment. These were things the movers won’t move or they were simply in the way—awkward things, things that don’t fit into boxes, really heavy things. Actually, I think it was just an excuse to escape the drudgery of more packing at home, but don’t tell my family.
When I first arrived in the parking deck, I couldn’t get to my parking spot because I left the fob at home. I was segregated to the public parking which does not have easy access to the apartments. Lugging some of these awkward and heavy items was a challenge and it was unpleasant and hard. We decided to finish the task on Wednesday morning—which was unintentionally brilliant. That morning we found a way to get the Bellman’s cart into the garage! And in one trip, we were able to bring a car load of stuff into the apartment with ease! A man offered to hold the door for us and our overflowing cart and I said, “Whoever invented the wheel, I am forever grateful!”
Sometimes we make life/work harder than it has to be. We don’t take advantage of the “Bellman’s cart!” We go it alone, we do all the heavy lifting ourselves, yet there’s another way—a better way. Stop for a second today, and ask yourself, “How am I making life/work harder than it has to be?” Why am I doing everything? Could I ask for help? Who or what is the Bellman’s cart in my life? Hey, it’s just a thought. You can certainly keep doing it all, if you want. It’s your choice.
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
