Yesterday I was listening to a webinar about finances. I jumped on the call because I felt like I had drifted from my “financial roots.” When I worked on Wall Street I knew every dollar I had and where it was invested—and then I had children! Ugh. I had much less free time at that point so Doug took over. I really let that part of my life slip away, until now.
I’ll circle back about finances soon, but I wanted to share the basic premise of the whole webinar which was systems. A system, once put in place, is a series of small decisions you make every day; an organized framework or method by which you operate. It’s the “rinse and repeat” concept. Systems also allow the brain to relax, it doesn’t have to think so much, therefore it reduces stress. And systems save time. Systems work.
Where in your life do you need all the benefits of a system? Is it with your finances or your health? Or maybe it’s your time management or your work tasks? We need a system when we look at an area of our life and say, “This isn’t really working—there has to be a better way!” Take a look around. I will, too. Where do we need a system?
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
