Motivational Monday!

As I mentioned last week, sometimes people point things out to me and say, “I thought of you when I saw this,” and this is one of those posts. This observation came from my daughter while we were walking our dogs on a dreary, raining day. She said, “Mom, did you ever notice on a rainy day how much less of Manhattan we can see? Sometimes it’s almost as if it isn’t there at all. The fog covers everything and makes it almost scary, but on a sunny day, there’s nothing prettier.” Same skyline—different view.

Take this visual of NYC and think about something you really want to happen for yourself—is it work related or personal? Really hold onto that idea right now. Now think about how scary it is to move forward with the “fog.” You cant see everything, it’s not all out in front of you, plain as day. And yes, it’s a little scary. But just because you can’t see everything clearly doesn’t mean you shouldn’t move forward. Through the fog is something great! If we stop with every “fog,” we will never move forward.

Here’s the deal with “fog,” it’s actually helping! It’s ensuring that we are more careful about our steps. It’s requiring us to have more faith in ourselves—faith in our ability to make it happen. We can’t let the “fog” scare us away from what we truly want. It’s simply making us dig deep. The “fog” is saying, “Do you REALLY want this?” The answer is, YES!

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
