Jack Be Nimble

Last Thursday I hosted my Difficult Conversations live webinar again at 11 am in the morning. At the last minute, a non-profit essentially dropped everything to jump on the call. The whole team decided this would be a really good use of their time. They were an absolutely vibrant addition to the call, fully engaged, and asking great questions. It was a joy to have them on the call.

I am sharing this because I loved how nimble they were! When was the last time you described your team as nimble? They were also spontaneous and flexible—it was the right thing for the team so they altered their plans and acted quickly to join the call. What they WEREN’T was rigid, or slow, or unadaptable and, as a result, they participated in a healthy discussion that directly pertains to everyone’s workplace.

If you think this is about my webinar, you missed the point. Take a good look at yourself and your team. Can you honestly use words like nimble, flexible, spontaneous, and transformative to describe them and you? Or, is it more accurate to use words like rigid, slow, and unadaptable. There is no judgement here, just reflection—and with reflection comes awareness—and with awareness comes change.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
