Last night I kicked off my new Leadership Masterclass and our topic of choice was Blind Spots. Let’s suffice it to say that if you don’t think you have any blind spots—well, that’s your blind spot! And, based on some very comprehensive research conducted by minds far greater than mine, that’s not your only one!
The best part of the call last night was when the presentation was over and the discussion began. Everyone asked questions and shared their blind spot stories—good and bad. All of us became really aware of some blind spots that we hadn’t necessarily thought was a blind spot before. Ironically, we decided that silence was a very clear indicator of a blind spot.
Regardless of whether you are a CEO or a stay-at-home-parent, open and honest conversations are so valuable to us and our well being. This one 30-minute conversation last night allowed us the opportunity to create connections, share valuable information, spark ideas and create synergy, help everyone grow, challenged us, affirmed us, gave us a new perspective, helped us process, allowed us to learn and discover new ideas, and inspired and motivated us. So if you aren’t a part of something like this, give it some thought. Open and honest conversations are important. Plus, it was also really good for the soul.
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
