Friday’s Quote

“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.” – Albert Einstein

Yesterday, I completed a limiting belief exercise which was eye-opening! There were 9 questions that I had to answer about one of my limiting beliefs, all of which were enlightening, but there was one that really blew my mind. That question was: Why am I continuing to hold on to this belief? Ay, there’s the rub!

This belief was about my lack of technological knowledge. I was correct in stating that I did not have the technical skill to move this next phase forward, but I was also using it as an excuse, something I could hide behind so when push came to shove, I could simply say, “I don’t know how, that’s why I didn’t do it.” It’s an incredible and true excuse, but it’s still an excuse, nonetheless.

What limiting belief is holding you back? It might, very well, be true, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t an excuse. It might be serving you, like mine was serving me, as something to hide behind. But hiding never makes us better. Hiding isn’t where personal growth happens. Hiding is how we remain stuck—and stuck stinks. If you want a copy of the whole exercise, feel free to email me. I imagine it will be eye-opening for you as well.

Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
