I was skimming through the index of Brendan Burchard’s High Performance Habits the other day so I could see which chapter I wanted to read most and then I saw it—The #1 Thing. That’s the chapter I want to know more about.
I’m sure you, too, want to know what the #1 thing is, right? Well, it’s confidence! Although that’s not incredibly surprising, there were some fun facts around confidence that bear repeating. First, we aren’t born confident. It’s not a fixed personality trait but one that we build be doing. Second, we gain more confidence by integrating each “win” into our identity. Most people don’t do that. They deflect or attribute the win to luck or something else other than themselves. And lastly, confident people don’t spend much time at all beating themselves up over the “losses.” They grab the lesson learned and move on. Brilliant, right?
So today I am going to encourage all of us to adopt the #1 Thing! How can we focus on improving our confidence? Which one of the 3 Fun Facts resonated with you the most? Write it down and make it a habit. That’s one habit that will be worth repeating!
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!

P.S. Are you singing Demi Lovato’s, Confident, yet? Uh huh!
