“You are the author of your own story. If you don’t like where this chapter is going, it’s ok to start a new one.” ~Unknown
Your story and my story are different, but we are both living a story. And like any good book, sometimes we are so engrossed and fascinated that we can’t put it down. At other times, we find the book a little boring and not so engaging, so we leave it alone for a while. And finally, there are times when we get a book that we don’t vibe with at all and we feel compelled to move on. You can resonate with each of these books, right? Me, too.
Now, let’s assume our life is a book. Right now, how would you rate the current chapter? Is it a 10 out of 10? Do you love it? Or is it more like a 3? Here’s the cool thing about life chapters—at any given moment, we have the power to say, “This is not how the story/ chapter is going to end.” We get to rewrite the chapter. We don’t have to sit back and let the world dictate how this chapter ends, the pen is in our hand, but we can choose to use it! Otherwise, the world will write the chapter, and sometimes the world does not write in our best interest.
Today, I want us all to do two things. First, evaluate your current chapter. Do you love it? Is there anything you want to change? What is not going as planned? Dream big here. And second, rewrite the chapter. Take action steps that changes how this chapter appears to be ending and write a new ending. And if you hear yourself saying, “But it’s not that simple…,” please stop yourself! Neither of us know for sure if it will be simple, but what we do know for sure is that if we do NOTHING, then nothing will change. Right?
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
BETH
