Last night we were watching the very last episode of The Office with our eldest daughter. If you’ve never watched this comedy show, the premise for the show is that a film crew has been given permission to film a documentary depicting the everyday work lives of office employees at the fictional paper company, Dunder Mifflin, in Scranton, PA.
When the documentary airs 9 years later, the employees get to see their lives essentially relived before their eyes. Pam, one of the main characters, says, and I am paraphrasing, “When I watch how I acted, I wish I would have done things differently. I would have moved faster, embraced life and all the possibilities that were right there in front of me.”
What would you and I do differently if we could go back 9 years? What happened in the last 9 years that you know could have been better? It’s not too late, you know. Today is a new day. I would simply encourage all of us to give that question some serious thought—What would I do differently? And why wouldn’t I start now?
Let’s GO! WE GOT THIS!
