Motivational Monday!

ast night I was watching the NCAA March Madness and I noticed a team wearing a shirt with the word FAMILY written in all capital letters across the front. I wondered if that declaration was actually helping the team.

I completely understand WHY they wanted this motivational word on their shirt, but I wondered to what extent they were actually living it? They can write any word they want on their shirt, even NCAA CHAMPS but it doesn’t make it so. So how does this apply to you and me?

That team clearly wanted their players to act like a family—what word would you put on your shirt? First, you have to know what you want. Second, you have to actively go after it. You’re going to have to make a plan, change your behavior, work hard, and get committed. You don’t become a family by writing it on your shirt—it takes a lot more than that! What’s your word?

With Gratitude,
Beth
